You missed the point completely

I cannot believe, that someone who can actually form quite a good sentence such as yourself, could have so completely missed the point, and your post leaves me puzzled. ... you seem an intelligent person to a degree.

My understanding is that Muslims claim that the Qu'ran is the actual word of God, and is perfect in every way. Clearly, the Qu'ran is full of mistakes and scientific errors, and therefore cannot be the actual words of God. I am sure God would not make so many elementary errors!

Your post admits the Qu'ran is not correct, so therefore it cannot be the actual word of God.

Now for some reason you go off on a tangent about the Bible, why do you do that? Do you think trying to say the Bible has errors of fact somehow makes the Qu'ran correct? I cannot understand your logic??

The vast majority of Christians do not believe that the Bible is the word of God, but written by men inspired by God. Most Christians understand that the Bible was written within certain social contexts and needs to be interpreted. The message is good, it just needs to be translated into a modern context.

I do not wish to generalize, however every time I hear a Muslim talk about how perfect the Qu'ran is, I always wonder whether they say this out of fear of their fellow Muslims, or out of total ignorance.

I find your calls for showing respect as funny, as Muslims have shown for the last 1400 years how much respect and tollerance they show for others. I think Muslims need to clean up their own act before they try and offer advise to others.

The is a old saying about Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones! To me, the Muslim world is living in one massive glass house. Those Muslims who are not actually throwing the stones are definitely handing the stones to the ones that are.

The total lack of critical self examination by the vast bulk of the Muslim world, and the denial of reality of most Muslims, leads me to conclude that Muslims will continue to over represent the poor, ignorant and the savage in this world.

Seyfoe, you are entitled to believe the world is flat, that camel urine has health giving properties, that 52 yo man marrying a 6 yo girl is great, and it is lawful to have sex with female slaves if you own them.

However, you also need to understand that in most countries in the world, if you do what Mohammed did, you will be thrown in jail for a long long time.

Hold your beliefs, but also get real and adjust your moral standards to what society says is acceptable now. Not what an Arabian warlord said 1400 years ago in a backward corner of then world.
