self-centric thinking

Reader comment on item: Mocking Muhammad Is Not Hate Speech
in response to reader comment: Muhammed s.a.w in the bible and quran.

Dear Dr Pipes,

The reader Yusuf Usman presents yet another example of self-centric thinking so prevalent among Islamists. What these people do not realize is that a belief does not become true just because someone believes in it. How long will it take before a common Muslim starts understanding this fact clearly? Almost all arguments offered in favor of Islamic version of God, religion and scripture are loaded with circular logic and self-centric arguments. This needs to change.
