FOX TV Airs Pro-Muslim American message during "24"Reader comment on item: "24" and Hollywood's Discovery of Radical Islam Submitted by Don Castella (United States), Feb 7, 2005 at 23:38 FOX TV Network apparently caved to continuing pressure from Muslim-American groups and aired a recorded pro-Muslim message featuring "24" star, Kiefer Sutherland, during the February 7, 2005 showing of the popular Fox TV series. In the message Sutherland states:"Hi I'm Kiefer Sutherland and I play counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer on Fox's "24". I would like to take a moment to talk to you about something that I think is very important. Now while terrorism is one of the most critical challenges facing our nation and the world, it is important to recognize that the American Muslim community stands firmly beside their fellow Americans in denouncing and resisting all forms of terrorism. So when watching "24" please keep that in mind." One wonders which firm stand the message refers to. I am guessing it is not the firm stand that CAIR and other groups have taken AGAINST efforts to protect America from Islamist terrorism.
