Valenti and other filmsReader comment on item: "24" and Hollywood's Discovery of Radical Islam Submitted by Arlene Jacoby (United States), Jan 8, 2005 at 12:53 So, Jack Valenti was worried about a backlash from the law abiding Muslim community and that's why no movie has been made about Islamic terrorists.Isn't it interesting that Valenti, of Italian descent, wasn't worried about a backlash from law abiding Italians or Italian descendents when zillions of movies about the mafia were made. I recall American-Italian groups protesting, but that didn't stop the production of the movies. Wonder why.
