"Workable in a Democracy"Reader comment on item: How to Turn Gaza Over to Egypt Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Feb 21, 2008 at 06:09 If I were a betting man, who do you think I'd receive long odds from? "trans-parere", Moslems have undeniably less a chance becomming, quoting you, "workable in a democracy". Why do you think that is? Why HAVE Judaism and Christianity been easily adapted into the twenty-first century? These religions have NO PROBLEM existing alongside, within a democracy, indeed Christianity is the world's second largest religion, CENTURIES after any incidental abusement of scripture. Could it be, a great difference is, for example, Qur'an 9:111, that states the way of salvation is to kill the unbeliever? Whether you're agnostic, or atheist, you can't deny agenda behind a person's faith. And the motivation that results. To compare Judaism with Islam is asinine. The Muslem religion is the only recognized religion in human history that promises PARADISE for those who KILL the unbeliever. Does that get through to you?
