I'm afraid Tovey is right about Gaza

I say Egypt will never accept Gaza, Tovey adds that it would be dangerous to do so, and I agree.

I fear that the Hamas contagion in Gaza could tip the balance between secular nationalists and Moslem maniacs in Egypt in the maniacs' favor.

There was a great article from MEMRI a few days ago of Hamas hammering Mubarak while the Fatah is working with Mubarak against Hamas and the Brotherhood.

The Arab world is divided in every country between those factions, and Israel and the US can only back the seculars -- even though they hate Israel as well.

A radical Moslem Egypt would be a nightmare -- even though the current Nasserist version is no bargain.
