Daniel's second discussion of a Gaza-ectomy is more plausible

This second article on this topic explains Daniel's reasoning more thoroughly and convincingly (to me) than the first.

I still fear that Egypt, like all other Arabs, can be more ruthless in the face of Palestinian suffering than Israel.

However, setting the date certain for cut-off of utilities, and removing Gaza from the customs union, are both completely doable.

However, since the other Moslem vermin want to keep the Gaza issue festering against Israel's side, I still don't see Egypt accepting a regularization of relationship/ownership with Gaza.

I think it will be a series of wasteful, patchwork humanitarian assistance (probably lots of it on the US nickel, as usual).

If I were Mubarak, I would never reintegrate with Gaza -- Israel made itself the stuckee on that (indeed) tarbaby after 1967.

I still think it was a mistake to withdraw from Gaza, although it has permitted more violent direct action by Israel there.
