During the Yom Kippur war the Israelis had an Egyptian army of 300,000 surrounded in the desert without food, ammunition, and water. They could have annihilated them, the Israelis didn't.

I think that you have been force fed propaganda of the kind that has been exposed in the last Lebanon war and are unable to think critically. Ideas, like food, need to be well chewed, or they will make you sick.
