Israel has to solve its own problem

I doubt Mubarak would stop Hamas in Gaza, the same way Syria/Lebanon don't stop Hizbullah in the north. I also doubt a multinational force would help, as Dr. Pipes suggests, the same way the multinational force in Lebanon is miserably failing to stop rearmament by Hizbullah.

Even if Mubarak wanted very much to stop Hamas (which I doubt), he would have a hard time doing so. See, even Israel, with its impressive army, is having a hard time, as the rockets fall into Sderot non-stop.

Ultimately, I think this search for somebody to solve our problem in Gaza is a form of escapism. The Gaza rockets are falling on Israel, not on Egypt, so Israel is the one who has to solve its own problem, by using its own military.
