Excuse the pun, but what you propose is surely a "Pipe"-dream. the fact of the matter is that Mubarak/Egypt will simply not "accept" the gift. It is is Egypt's best interest to keep Israel saddled with the problem of Gaza. All of this has nothing to do with what, from a certain perspective, is rational and fair. It has everything to do with raw self-interest.
