Another great idea that will have to dig its way out of an avalanche of anti-Israel rhetoric

Reader comment on item: How to Turn Gaza Over to Egypt

Submitted by DrRJP (United States), Feb 7, 2008 at 10:07

Getting past the blinders that many organizations and individuals have when viewing the Arab-Israeli conflict. Even if Mubarak agreed wholeheartedly to open the borders between Egypt and Gaza, the media and other ani-Israel, anti-Semitic groups will continue to parrot the Palestinian propaganda of Gazans being "Walled in." People are so blind to the truth that they would merely say that Egypt takes its marching orders from Israel and the US, like journalist Tim McJerk recently stayed in the Feb. 4th issue of Time.

Israel has never, and will never, engage in a propaganda war with the Arab world under the false assumption that presenting just the facts on the ground can sway public opinion. Personally, PM Olmert has no love for any Jewish settlements outside of the Green Line, and is in a state of denial about their 3,000 year old legitimacy. After all, he's also the one who illegally perfmitted Arabs to build on Jewish land in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Giving Gaza to Egypt makes perfect sense.
