Good article. We should give these courageous people that dare criticize Islam moral support. Christianity also had these kind of critics in history. By their acts they succeeded in humanizing Christianity. For the sake of the moderate and friendly muslims we are obliged to support them.

One correction: it was not Ayaan Hirsi Ali who called Islam a "backward religion", but Pim Fortuyn. Pim Fortuyn was murdered the 6 of May 2002 by an activist of the extreme left. Ayaan Hirsi Ali called the prophet Mohammed a "perverted man" and a "tyrant", which enraged the muslim community here.
