Problem w/MuslimsReader comment on item: [Moderate] Voices of Islam Submitted by Tariq Khan (United States), Sep 28, 2003 at 05:50 The problem is not Islam the religion which DP respects; the problem is muslims themselves. Just like people anywhere muslims experience feelings of low esteem, inferiority complex, jealousy, pride, etc. Living in poor economic conditions most muslims who have little education don't have much besides Islam, which may easily become a means for expression of negativity. Non-muslims quite likely are led to demonize Islam.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
