in response to reader comment: BREAKING A FAMILY

Submitted by Hamid Mahmood (Oman), Jun 23, 2007 at 14:35

Dear Ayesha,

The procedure for divorce is given in detail in Quran. If bad muslims do not follow it. Rather i should not call them even muslims. A muslim is one who submits his will to Allah. If procedure given in Quran is followed no divorce can take place in anger or in misunderstanding.

As far as Islam is concerned a woman is the responsibility of father and brothers if she does not have husband. In absence of all of them the Islamic government is responsible for her. Please dont blame Islam for the wrong doings of those who are born in muslim homes, that only does not make them muslims. A muslim is one who submits his will to Allah. Such a person can not harm an animal so how can he harm his wife. Please read Quran yourself.
