.....tad altruistic wouldn't you say? I expected God Bless America to start up on my computer speakers. This used to be called flag waving in the 1960's. If all else fails, just wave the flag and sing patriotic songs and all the problems with America magically disappear. The topic comment was "Why does the world hate America?" It's like Republicans running around with the little flag pin on the Armani Suit alleging that they are more patriotic because they wear a little pin.

The world doesn't hate America. America draws hatred for the corporate reputation because America is run by corporations who are out of control, stomping all over the world, depleting resources, encouraging slave labor, and putting up luxury spas, and buying up private islands, so we all appear to have absolutely no morals whatsoever - when that isn't true. Wealthy people in the United States are giving us a bad name. They show up in luxury cruise liners to poor countries, expected to be waited on. The people waiting on them resent them, but they smile and take the money. The American lifestyle that was started in 1980, the "me generation" wants it all, and thinks the Constitution says something about "success and money" being part of "freedom".

You can't have it all. Something's gotta give.
