The crescent and star

Reader comment on item: [Symposium:] Why Does the World Hate America?
in response to reader comment: So many reasons

Oh say can you see by the easts early light what so proudly they hailed at the twilights last gleaning-
Whose clear cresent and bright star were so brightly gleaming
Oh say does that star and cresent still wave over the
Land of the politically correct and the home of multicultures.

What the political elites don't get is not the "Arab" aspect of the port deal, but the ISLAMIC part of the port deal. The UAE is an Islamic nation, the port management company is a state owned enterprise, hence an Islamic owned company. Islam wants the US under the star and crescent flag, literally and metaphorically. The management of these ports is a big step. The decisions regarding the operational aspects of the ports may well be made by those who support islamism. As for a partner in the war on terror, what should it matter, after all, the UAE is threatened as much as the US ....is it not?
