above links for your comment on "Don't get me wrong, the environment is one of, if not the most important, things on this planet." - we might have a good solution! (...unlikely...)

and no.
i disagree on your comment "Now, I don't think that there is anything wrong with getting Wendy's, Mcdonalds, or Burgerking 2 or 3 times a week. But many people go there 5-7 times a week instead of cooking at home. Now that is wrong"
...just think about it - let's say 2.5 times/week makes 11+ occasions/month of eating the junk. that makes approximately 135 meals/year. if you even gave a thought about what's in those processed "meals" and what took to process those meals... also think about the implication of expected future health deterioration... I do not know why you think it is acceptable. if you do the primary math/health science...it's pretty self-explanatory.

Also, "We have Italian, French, English, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, Mexican, etc, etc, etc, food. We have foods from every culture on the planet. So don't tell me our food is crap, because you just insulted the foods of every nation on the earth."
...I have to disagree with this one too. While we do have foods from various cultures, they are tailored to our taste - on average, they are not even close to be authentic - excessive sugar/fat/quantity etc... to our liking.
so no insult for them.

I agree with you on the insight on the health care system here - that MDs in US receive one of the finest education/training - if you actually compare the years of training and content of education they receive to be qualified as doctors here (anyone can find global stats if interested) - it is not doctors fault that the health system here is corrupt per se - it is the result of the interplay of different sectors' varying interests. Unfortunate to most of us.

anyway, just a few thoughts.
