Sharon's war

Reader comment on item: [Israel's Gaza Withdrawal:] A Democracy Killing Itself

My guess is Sharon can read his own words, and agree with himself.
Therefore if Sharon takes a step which will encourage terrorism, he does so knowingly.
The answer to the riddle lies partially in the article regarding the damage Global incendiary Jihad does to Patient Islam. Although ludicrous, there is still a majority of Jews in Israel who assume peace with Arabs is achievable given a large enough withdrawal.

The only way to dissuade them from this view is a large number of violent murders in the "heartland", which is only 10 miles away from the "hinterland" Sharon rode to power not on the platforrm of withdrawal, but rather on the flames of chagrin due to the failure of the peace accords, anf the Terror that followed that withdrawal. There is nothing that will fan the flames of terror higher than Jewish withdrawal, Sharon so proclaimed, and has been proven correct.

In the end, Terror is not the problem. The population from which Terror arises is the problem. The only viable justification for the expulsion of this population, to Gaza, is all out war. This war is just now warming up, ramping up, expanding, engulfing. Soon, regardless of who is in power in Israel, the reverse flow, of Arabs from Judea and Samaria into the Gaza Strip will become obvious, and then all heck will break loose. When that happens, Arabs will be forced to flee to Jordan, toppling the Jordanian monarchy. This will finaly create justice. A Palestinian State East of the Rift, and a Jewish State west of the rift. This is the only State Ariel Sharon intends the Arabs to have, for the reverse is Auschwitz.

Apocalypse now? Not really. Three million Ethnic Germans were forced to leave the Sudeten following WW2. Since then Peace has reigned in Europe.

Sharon knows he has to break the deadlock induced by the Saudi Peace plan transmuted into the laughable Roadmap. Fanning the flames of Terror wil do so.
