A fool is he who trusts in Man and not God

Reader comment on item: [Israel's Gaza Withdrawal:] A Democracy Killing Itself

I must get the answer as to how a trusted and capable former General has prepared his own people for destruction and has enabled the number one enemy of the Jews in today's present age, the Muslim Palestinian Arabs, an easier platform from which to continue the Jihad against Israel.

It is absolutely unforgiveable what Ariel Sharon has done. He has abdicated his responsibilies, lied to the nation, his party and himself, and like a fool had caved in to pressure. He must resign in disgrace, exile himself to Auschwitz, Poland and study history from the banks of the ashpond in Birkenau to contemplate where his policies will lead the downtrodden Jewish nation once again.

He has learned nothing as a secular Jew from the history, as written out in the pages of the Hebrew Bible, of nations like Assyria, Babylon, Rome and Egypt which sought at varying times to oppress, massacre and enslave his forefathers. He is absolutely unfit as a leader and should hand over the reigns of power to Benjamin Netanyahu who learned some hard lessons presiding over a now defunct Olso Peace Accords signed by another treasonous ex-General Yizhak Rabin.
