The biggest enemies of the jewish people are among us!

Reader comment on item: [Israel's Gaza Withdrawal:] A Democracy Killing Itself

Submitted by Eli (United Kingdom), Aug 16, 2005 at 11:12

We are dealing with hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of Jews who are not religious, and who don't know what it means to the full extent - of being and running a Jewish life. Being Jewish and acting exactly the same as a gentile, is their business, but who do they think they are - deciding for us (the entire Jewish nation) what and who will be evacuated from their homes, and who will this and who will that... Sharon is going completely alone here, not one religious Jew is in his coalition, how dare he considers himself a Prime Minister of the Jewish state, when the only people who keep the state Jewish- he is evacuating!

Israel is no longer a democracy, Sharon and his entire family (and ministers) are all involved in corruption. He fired all the ministers who apposed him, and has called for a public referendum, and once it voted against disengagement- he ignored it, even after he promised to "respect" the results! What is democratic about that?

Our biggest enemies are among us, we can not wipe them out, because they are our brothers, but if all the religious Jews got up and left Israel...then some secular Israelis will wake up, and feel that something is not right! And they will do a little research into their identities and realize who and what their grandparents were. (Most of them were observant)!

We are leading ourselves to disaster, we can only pray and hope for a better future.
