8000 israelis vs. one million palestinian

Reader comment on item: [Israel's Gaza Withdrawal:] A Democracy Killing Itself

Submitted by L. Abideen (United Arab Emirates), Aug 24, 2005 at 10:12

I think it makes sense when Sharon decides to withdraw from Gaza, seeing that only 8000 Jews have occupied the area, while it has been the home of more than a million Palestinian.

Those settlements did not belong there. And the Palestinians did not receive a gift from the Israeli Occupation; they got their land back, only this time it is more like a big prison.

Those who say Israel shouldn't allow the airport to operate again need to read more about human rights. Why did you assume the Palestinians would import weapons? And so what, let them get weapons, it's not like Israel doesn't have all types of nuclear and mass destruction weapons. Enough discrimination....
