Like a counterfeit $50 bill calling the genuine a fake

Reader comment on item: Distinguishing between Islam and Islamism
in response to reader comment: Christianity in the Holy Quran

"As in Christianity, there are many lies and actually the holy book which is the Bible, 3/4 of it is distorted. And the evidence is from the holy Quran. The Quran has the truth because it is actually the real words of God who Muslims call Allah and He is the only God of this universe ..."

The Bible says that "All scripture is given by inspiration from God ..." and that "false prophets will arise" ... and "deceive many". God who "is Love" never forces anyone to do anything against their wishes, but he does allow people the freedom to choose. Love without Liberty is a false, controlling misuse of the word. God demonstrated His love over and over to, and through, His people over the centuries before Christ. Even if you deny the saving power of the sacrifice of Jesus, a God who would be willing to lay down His life in order for His creation to be saved is much more worthy of worship than one who frequently commands killing of anyone who doesn't agree. Either convert, pay a tax to stay alive (but under the control of another) or die. They are the options given by the false prophet. The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar demanded everyone bow down and worship an image of himself on pain of death from disobedience. Anyone who defies the Muslim prophet; the false, counterfeit prophet faces the same fate. Love and liberty under God through Christ Jesus or slavery, hatred of others and death under allah.
