I only differ with you on the distinction between "Islam" and "Islamism" as based on "Ideology."

All religions come with an ideology, or none do.

Here is the official Merriam-Webster definition of Ideology:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ideology.

There are other terms in our wonderful English language
that are suited to identify what one opposes in Islam,
rather than the neologism which you introduce
into the term which has been around since 1747: "Islamism."

Once again, read what Merriam-Webster says:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Islamism

"Definition of Islamism
1: the faith, doctrine, or cause of Islam
2 : a popular reform movement advocating the reordering of government and society in accordance with laws prescribed by Islam.

So strictly speaking every follower of Daesh, ISIS, or ISIL, is a Muslim follower of Islam.

"Islamism" is such a weak critical term to use, and there is no scholarly, or intellectual justification to attach a new meaning to an old term, by claiming that Islamism is an Ideology, since all Religions come with an Ideology, about life and how to live it, or with a socioeconomic dogma.

But that doesn't mean that there are no words which even an outsider (of Islam) can use. Here a list:
Here a list by which Muslims and Islam can be Qualified:

1. Muslim Heretic, and Islamic Heresy.

2. Islamic School (of Thought, not a Building)

3. Muslim Sect, or Islamic Sect

4. Muslim Cult, or Islamic Cult.

Notice also that in no instance above do we have an "-ism," as in Marxism, Communism, or Socialism. I don't this such isms are necessary to express what's unattractive about some contemporary Muslims or Islam. But Nationalism, Statehood, Country, and Sovereignty all deserve a separate discourse which I will not discuss now here - to keep things brief.
