Talk is cheap

Reader comment on item: Identifying Moderate Muslims

Submitted by David J. Bastyr (United States), Nov 24, 2004 at 16:55

There is an old saying 'Talk is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey'. So far all we have is talk from so-called moderate Moslems on opposition to terrorism. I will continue to regard this rhetoric skeptically until there are wide-spread attempts of Moslems to actively squelch terrorism.

I believe that in many ways Iraq is the testing ground. If the Iraqis without our active armed assistance can contain terrorists in their country and not assist terrorists in other countries, then there may be hope for the rest of the world.
