and less of it is the solution. I'd say, agreeing with M. McNight.

But I think that Daniel Pipes' message is wiser nonetheless, because we can thus hope to wake up the common sense of many lukewarm Muslims, or of Muslims who are truly committed to a peaceful vision of their religion. It sure is worth a try.

The only problem, or risk, with that attitude is that we might become less firm than we should be towards radicals. We might hesitate, not being sure who or what is the enemy.

We have to think more, to be more aware of what makes a difference, of what is a correct attitude towards religion, beliefs, and democratic values too.

It is a more subtle and difficult path. But it is the right one, because it makes us better.
