Your skewed version of both history, and recent events is delusional. You seem to have forgotten that your country - Iraq- was nothing but an isolated, peripheral outpost of the Ottoman Empire for close to 500 years. And it was their alliance with Germany during World War I that led to Western intervention into that area of the world. Without the leadership of T.E. Lawrence during World War I , much of Arabia would have remained part of an Ottoman Empire in decline.

History proves that there is a price for everything, the price of your liberation from the Ottomans was the de facto colonization of both France and Britain. However there were also benefits. It fact it was the European Christian missionaries that introduced both lithography, and printing to Lebanon in 19th century. It was Europe, and America that brough Arabia into the modern world, not your beloved Muslim Ottoman Empire. After reading your posts we do agree on one thing, and that is we have very little in common. However remember that it is you, not me that is an interloper living in a foreign land. I will never live under a religious legal system that would make me a second class citizen, which explains why there are hardly in Jews or Christians living in that area of the world anymore. And personally I see no benefit to the West in allowing itself to be host to a alien religion, and culture.
