Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Cairo Speech

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Jun 4, 2009 at 23:08

Of course Obama said basically the same things he's been saying since he was inaugurated as our president; of course he is bending over backwards to the so-called "Muslim world" (wherever that is) and with that bending over, he is also drawing in the Islamists to rally for him. He is also extremely naive, and was the perfect candidate for our president---someone who does whatever is expected of him and says whatever is written for him without thinking for himself.

Muslims in general aren't very impressed with his speech, but the Islamists are cheering---apparently Obama implied that Shari'a may have a place in the Western world after all---woe to the US if ever that is allowed.
