Obamas Cairo speech

Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Cairo Speech

Submitted by Isaac (United States), Jun 5, 2009 at 09:16

Obama 's remarks of a start to a new begining sounded great. That will have to proven because the Arab leadership does not believe it now and in the future. Obama told about his name being muslim and lived as youth as a Muslim and I guess he said ,this to put a smile on his Arabs hosts face. He failed to put at strength into what could curb the violence in the Middle East other than to say that an Arab state would help make peace.

The only reason for a Palestinian aka Arab state is to find a place for these Arabs the other Arab nations do not want. He make no mention that it takes an agreeable concessions to make and have a peaceful co existence. What are our Arab neighbors doing concretely for a civil honest peace. What proof is there that an arab state would not become a launching pad for terrorism towards Israel. Obama must be smart and not be soft on the Arabs and pushing Israel hard.
