Obama's fight against terrorism?Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Cairo Speech Submitted by B N Gururaj (India), Jun 5, 2009 at 10:17 After President Barak Obama assumed office, one cannot but notice that America's fight against global terrorism is losing its zeal. The attitude towards global terrorism seems indifferent. It now seems that Obama Administration is distinguishing between terrorism that affects USA and terrorism that affects other countries. Last ten years experience has shown that terrorism cannot be tackled in such cut and dried fashion. Many countries, especially India had hinged its hope on the USA in its fight against the Pakistan sponsored terrorism. At least for the next four plus years, it would seem that victims of terrorism such as Israeal and India had better brace themselves to face their problem based on their own resourcefulness rather than run to Head Master USA. President Obama is going out of the way to woo Muslims, though their role has been rather questionable in the recent world affairs.
