OK is not enough!Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Cairo Speech Submitted by David (United States), Jun 8, 2009 at 11:40 And may I ask do you know where that line is - and what lies in the heart of a man based on your interpretaion of his words. You make a claim of great power by intimating that you know the truth. I recall reading the history of the Six Day War from the Arab perspective. From their perspective, the war was over and they had one. Problem is that the truth was not considered an important factor until it was too late to do anything. For the length and breadth of its history, Islam has not recognized the equal rights and dignity of non Moslems. As a former immigration practitioner, I can assure that not only is it true regarding non-Moslems, but it is true vis a vis fellow Moslems who do not come from the same side of town. This accounts for the large number of Islamic Americans who came here ostensibly on political asylum. The vast majority of them came here to escape the oppression of fellow Moslems, not Jews, not Christians and not Hindus. Obama was catering to the fable of Islam's tolerance. It is nothing more than a fable, not from me but from the U. S. Government's Country Reports which detail inter-Moslem intolerance, discrimination, hatred, racism, violence, rape, and murder in the name of who knows what. Not until Islam confronts its' ugly truths, will there ever be any possibility for peace in the world, let alone in the Middle East. Israel is not a perfect country, but its' problems pale in comparison to its' neighbors.
