Whether using the term Muslim, or Jihadist, or Islamist, or radical, or fundamentalist, or progressive, or any other terminology affiliating the Muslim religion, the one ABSOLUTE is the textbook at their very base, their core; the Quran. In the Quran a muslim (not an Islamist) is promised "paradise" if he kills the Kafir (infidel).

I've heard Muslims try to defend this by saying the Quran was written in times of 'great war'. Well, the Bible is no slouch when it comes to 'great war'; in the Old Testament the angel of the Lord 'smote' (wiped out, slaughtered) 185,000 of the enemy (the Assyrian army). Also, David presented 200 Philistine testicles as payment to King Saul for Saul's daughter's hand in marriage.

The Quran has the unique honor of being the only 'bible' of any religion that promises 'paradise' to those who kill.

Any arguments that modern-day Muslims try to present today, including the 'abrogation' of certain verses of the Quran, cannot erase the fact that the Quran promised eternal life (paradise and 72 virgins as well) to any MUSLIM who would KILL infidels. That is something that cannot be ignored. And it is UNIQUE TO THE MUSLIM RELIGEON. That's part of what we're dealing with; I don't understand why this is not pointed out more often. Again, it has to do with the very inception of the Muslim religion. -JS
