Dr Pipes has provided a good summary of the current war on terror status.I may add several comments. After 6 years of struggling with the militant Islamism we better understand its religious roots. It is enough to listen to Bin Laden speeches to realize that his Murder Inc organization is powered by Islam .

He realizes that The Muslim world is a huge failure ; economic, cultural and military. They can not compare with the successful Western civilization. Most Muslim countries are poor ,weak, with predominantly illiterate citizenship and hopelessly backward in modern technology. Bin Laden wants more martyrs because terrorism is the only weapon he has. This is a weapon of desperation .Even Adolf Hitler did not want his young soldiers to commit suicides in his gigantic struggle in Russia. Probably Bin Laden's worst nighmare is the possibility of modernizing Islam in a similar way in which Judaism and Christianity have changed in the last 2,000 years.

This is also the best hope for the civilized word. The main difficulty is that Islam is extremely rigid and changing it could be a long and hard task. In addition to the rigidity most Muslims are very primitive ,uneducated and brainwashed people on the planet. The first task of changing their world outlook is to get them educated in modern sciences,.If they realize that their leadership is hopelessly ignorant the West will make the first step toward more peaceful world.

In addition to educating Muslims the West must follow immigration policies similar to those followed by the Australian Prime Minister John Howard .He explained them very clearly on Wednesday September 10. It would be a great idea to publish the full length of Howard's speech warning Muslims in Australia. they they must adapt or leave. This is a strong, clear and profoundly correct message for all Muslims living in the West. .
