Too optimistic a statement

Reader comment on item: America's Crash Course on Islam

Your following statement is rather too optimistic for a shrinking civilized territory :

"But there is also good news in the war, and it concerns the deepening education and spreading awareness of growing numbers of Westerners, especially on the right, about the nature of the war and the enemy."

My thought:

I found that none of my leftist friends belief the danger of Islamic expansion, and after 5 years of listening to people, I have not not found my rightist friends know anything about it either. My church feels it's OK because this life is not all there is for Christians.

Just recently, one in my family suffered great shock upon my presentation of Islam. At first he said, "Why didn't the CNN show what you told me?" For the sake of America, I provided all evidence, including showing information of your CAIR law suit. Now, he is addicted to reading it. But he is a retired man; there isn't much he can change the country, and I am only a nobody displaced from an Islamic country.

Look: Only in America you can watch a circus in high government offices, such as Congress and Senate.

Listen to Loretta Sanchez jesting at a circus in Gen. Petraeus hearing yesterday.

Mr. Pipes, I appreciate your hard work, but feel very sorry for you that your shining leaders and citizens in America have no more resolve to fight since the last Korean War. If it's not quick and easy, it's time to quit.
