A Masterful article. Dr. Pipes is right about the solution (understand thy enemy) . David Burkay has done a yeoman service by exposing Islam abrogation and its conjoined twin al taquiyaa, which most naive people either dont know or do not understand.

India a tolerant civilisation lost its freedom to Islam by giving up vigilance and confused understanding of enemy. Pakistan is an outcome of this Indian failure. This is well documented in the works of Ram Swarup and Sitaram Goel http://voi.org/books.html. Reading Ram Swarup's and Sitaram goel's works woud be the best possible crash course on Islamism. The writings of these men are prescient and are based on rigorous analysis of Islam - theory as well as practice.

The above books are a must read for anyone that wants to understand the insideous nature of Islamism.

Let us hope Islamism gets defeated in its home bases - especially Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
