Dr RJP, Muslims understand Qur'an

I respect and thoroughly enjoy Dr. RJP's comments, however I absolutely disagree with his last statement; "the greatest misunderstanding of Islam occurs within its own ranks".

Muslims understand the Qur'an perfectly, it is not a complicated book. The only difference is whether Muslims have the desire and the courage to carry out the commands of the Qur'an or they simply do not. Remember, that most Muslim schools spend at least 30% of school time, teaching the Qur'an.
