Is Islam really ...spread through violence and brainwashing?

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict

Many people might think so, if not say so.

Are they all lying? Are they only saying these things to insult Muslims, and to incite violence against Islam?

These are questions that each of us must answer on our own without fear or intimidation or reprisal if we find any truth in them.

They say that a picture is worth 1,000 words. Take a look at this map of the Islamic Empire, circa 750 CE, showing just how many countries were conquered and occupied by Muslims, beginning with Mohammed:

If anyone should ask why did the Crusades happen, show them the map.

If anyone says that Islam is a religion of peace that was spread through preaceful means, show them the map.

If anyone says that Islam has never sought world conquest, show them the map.

THEN, take into consideration that the map covers only the first 125 years of Muslim history, and does not show how the bloody conquests that began in the 7th Century have continued unabaded into the 21st Century.

Another thing that the map does not show are the $billions of dollars in property and other precious commodities stolen by Muslims and the millions of people killed by Muslims during these conquests.

It only shows the land that they stole -- but that is sufficient to quash any claims by Muslims to the contrary.

Of course, Muslims will reply that the map is a fake -- even though it was drawn by a Muslim cartographer.

World History should not spark protests and riots if it is factual...but it does. As a matter of "fact," the truth causes more pain than any lies can.
