From the Sublime to the Ridiculous

Reader comment on item: Intimidating the West, from Rushdie to Benedict

Submitted by Blackspeare (United States), Sep 29, 2006 at 21:46

The president of Iran and others – such as al-Qaeda – seek to establish a global caliphate that would enforce ‘monotheism,' governed by a single caliph----namely the 12th Imam.

Now what if the coming of the 12th Imam, the Mahdi coincides with the second coming of Christ----do they duke it out or do they split the world??!! I for one am taking no chances; in one pocket I carry a sacred verse from the Holy Qur'an and in another an Agnes Dei----my tickets to eternal salvation though I tend to favor the Mahdi----those 72 virgins are mighty appealing!!!!
