What Christian identity ?

Reader comment on item: Piggybacking on Terror

Submitted by Allison Harrison (Canada), Aug 29, 2006 at 15:49

Since your closing comment, is your strongest comment, may I take the liberty of rephrasing it, so that it might mean more what you meant it to say, assuming I have caught the "flavor" or your article. " At the moment, the future of Europe is dependent upon the behavior of the British public, but the public is in fact proving to be the weakest link in this Western democratic chain. Unfortunately, the public can't decide whether they want to retain and maintain their historic Christian identity or whether they'd simply rather just become an adjunct of Muslim North Africa. "

Did I catch what you were really trying to say, or did I miss the point entirely?

Have you see Melanie Phillips commentary on this subject?

Kind regards,

Daniel Pipes replies:

You understand me correctly, except I do not mean to suggest that all Europe depends on the UK.

Yes, Melanie Phillips is doing great work.
