Reader comment on item: Piggybacking on Terror in Britain
in response to reader comment: To Sword of Islam&babies..

"You have these "peacful" demonstrations against Blair and Bush on your streets carrying banners that openly threaten your Govt"

The same could also be said of the numerous anti-war protests that had an overwhelmingly non-Muslim component. The only thing that tends to differentiate a Muslim placard from a British one is the fact that the Muslim ones are generally rather funny (and very poorly spelt given the fact that very few of them have a decent grasp of English). We tend to laugh at such people, not tremble. Should we start arresting anybody who openly disagrees or criticises the Government of the day?

Presumably this intolerance should also be extended to our Press and media in general which has a tradition of disagreeing with anything that any government does. It's a very dangerous road that you suggest we should travel. Such measures would vindicate the cause that these mongrels espouse. The orange jump suits of Guantanemo Bay is the biggest and brightest recruiting poster in the world. We don't need another. Let these demagogues reveal to the unwitting dhimmis the true face of Islam. Do you imagine that their demands have done anything other than hurt their cause? Rather than undermine the government of the day and their foreign policy it actually serves to legitimise it. Regrettably, or not, we tend not to arrest people until we have incontrovertable proof of a conspiracy to commit a specific crime.

"The west (especially the UK and US) has always looked the other way and ignored the Islamic terrorism that India faced for decades from across our border in the name of Kashmir."

Do you imagine that we should get involved in every foreign conflict? Blame Gandhi. If you want India to return to the days of being a British (or American) colony again you only have to ask. You can't 'have your cake and eat it too'! Or you could take a 'reality check' and stop blaming the 'West' for all your ills and direct your resentment in the direction of the UN.

The only valid point that I can see in your statements is the link between Pakistan and insurgents in the UK. What do you suggest that we do about Pakistan? Given that they have been given 'special consideration' by the US owing to their concessions in the 'war on terror' and their co-operation in the hunt for Bin Laden (for all the good it's done)? The US has literally paid them for their assistance in writing off billions in debt and tacitly approved the nuclear ambitions.

What commentators such as you fail to realise that is that membership of the EU makes it almost impossible for us to make the kind of legal changes that you dream of. On several occasions the British Government has attempted to make legal revisions that have been overruled by the European Court of Human Rights. The fact that the majority of these malcontents tend to be British born muddies the waters considerably.

Do you imagine that nuclear Pakistan will be a friendlier place without Musharraf to keep the radicals in comparative check? If British born Pakistanis are travelling to Iraq to blow up their fellow Muslims I see that as a cause of celebration - it means fewer Muslims here and there. They are far too cowardly to dream of attacking western soldiers directly so they provide an inconvenience at best. Once they've all killed each other perhaps George Bush can deport Louis Fahrakhan & the Nation of Islam to the empty spaces of Iraq given that they have always stated a desire to separate themselves from White America - but curiously failed to raise the air fare between them to emigrate to Africa. A win-win situation for all of us. .

PS. Today (Sept 3rd) is the two year anniversary of the Beslan massacre. I would ask anybody reading this to Google it and remind themselves of the poor little school kiddies who paid for our tolerance of the Islamic Cult of Death with their blood. There are no sacred places for these animals. It can never be allowed to happen again.
