If your a christian and you read Jesus's words all they teach is love and compassion whilst Mohommads words only caused wars and hate. That is the difference so by saying the Bible has cruel statements in it is not the same as saying the Koran has cruel statements in it because the Koran is how you should live whilst the OT Bible has the history of a nation in it so obviously it will have many cruel statements in it but not once did Jesus Christ go to war he spread his religion with peace and look at the statistics, More christians are being converted than muslims.

Comparing cruel statements in the OT Bible to the Koran is like comparing a history book to the koran. The Real words of God is what Jesus said so if your comparing that then read what Jesus said and tell me how many cruel statements you find compared to Mohammad. Also at least we realise some things the Bible says is dated now unlike Islam. OT is a history of a nation so saying it has no cruel statements in it is like saying there is no potato in a chip.
