in one of her essays she made the above point. I had like to say that Islamic culture is not representative of the Asian subcontinent. Hindus/Buddhists/Sikhs/Jains from India dont make such demands or make threats. it is true that they may also be not 'english' and not completely 'integrated'. they are different but not enemy.

Muslims demanded and got Pakistan within a couple of years (compare that to the fact that Indian freedom struggle spans nearly 100 yrs!!). Today the muslims in India demand a separate state for themselves (as asking for a new nation would be a bit too much after Pakistan even by their standards!!).

all i want to say is that Islamic culture is different from 'Asian' or oriental culture. we are more different than Islam than probably England itself. and a lot of ppl out here dont find British culture debauched or degraded.
