Reader comment on item: Profs Who Hate America

Submitted by Tagge (United States), Nov 13, 2002 at 13:32

The Democratic left wing of this country won't be content until it has brain washed every single one of my peers. As a college student, I had to as well endure this nonsensical, bias ranting of my professors. These people were paid to give me the knowledge to get my degree in Computer Science. Nowhere did I signup for a free course in Left-wing agenda politics.

Luckily, thanks to the very vocal news media, such as radio and websites that don't kow-tow to the leftist movement, I was able to see through their smoke screens. Youth is by all standards a particularly impressionable time in an individual's life. The Liberals are taking advantage of that right under our noses and using the education system to undermine American. Not just in colleges, but also in high schools and other public systems of education where the argument for this bias existing is ludicrous.

These people teach our children such common concepts as creationism, and environmentalism. What gives these people the right to tell your children or anyone else how to think? Is it their sole purpose in life to give our children a belief system, and worldview? The professors and teachers in America should present ‘just the facts' to the youth. Let these individuals make up their own minds. But instead, the education system has become an open forum for anyone to stand up on a soap box and spew lies at our most vulnerable.

Yet, these same people who preach tolerance for all, justice, and nonviolence resort to JUST these tactics to silence the people who disagree with them. Have you ever seen a college rally against a speaker that is perceived as Republican? Why it might as well be the KKK holding a meeting in that auditorium, though perhaps they'd receive less criticism.

This is why these people so adamantly oppose things such as school vouchers. Why? Because they can't control the private sector schools as tightly as they can the public sector. They've come up with the ultimate strategy for ensuring their survival in the future. Despite their complete lack of a solid set of principles, they can fool the youth of this country into seeing it their way.
