War for oil

Of course war with Iraq is all about oil! Do you seriously suppose that if Swaziland or Bhutan had an evil tyrant with biological, chemical and possibly nuclear weapons, and a track record of mass murder of his own subjects as well as aggressive designs against his neighbors, but no oil, the US would give him more than routine condemnation?

That said, what after all is wrong with going to war for oil? Even though the US gets little oil from Iraq, others do, or would in the aftermath of our victory, bringing the price down and stimulating the world economy. Personally, I can't think of anything more worth fighting for than oil, unless perhaps air or water. On to Baghdad!
