Jews Denied Rights of Other Minorities

I fail to understand why the same people who support the rights of indigenous people in this and other countries would deny this to the Jews. They were, in fact, the first people to rise up against European imperialism when they fought the Roman empire. Vine DeLoria, author of "Custer Died for Your Sins", did not miss this point. He supported Israel, and said he wished his people could achieve what the Jews had done in reclaiming their homeland. As for the writer who calls that part of the world "my land," that land belonged to others before you. Jewish culture and literature throughout the centuries makes many references to that geographic location as their home. The Arabs are johnny-come-latelies to that part of the world compared with the Jews, who have been there for two to three thousand years, at least. Despite their defeat by the Romans and the resultant Diaspora, some Jews were still there when Mohammed was a baby.
