Ahmadzafire, writing from the US, states:

"Remember America is based around some Islamic laws and customs."

Have to pull you up on that one. The fact is that Islam is based around pre-Isamic laws and customs derived from the Judeo/Christian milieu in which it was born. American was born from the same tradition.

Obviously you were not referring to amputations, whippings and stonings etc - just which particularly islamic laws and customs was America based around?
