Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism

Submitted by Kepha Hor (United States), Sep 7, 2010 at 20:59

Wasn't it the conquest of Moorish Spain by the bigoted Almohads and Almoravids that set the stage for the Christian Reconquista?

If there had been a louder outcry from Muslims against the 9/11 perps untempered with digs at the JOOOOOZ, "moderate Islam" would seem a lot more credible. The anti-Islamicism movement in the blogosphere and elsewhere seems to be fueled by things like Ibrahim Hooper's bald-faced supremacism, the triumphalism of the Cordoba House, and ability to find out about the rotten treatment of minorities in much of the Islamic world.
