Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism

Submitted by Susan (United States), Sep 8, 2010 at 00:41

I am very encouraged by the passionate opposition to the GZM and to see that my fellow citizens are not as uninformed about Islam as I thought they were. Middle America is aware of the Muslim Brotherhood's long-term agenda to 'destroy Western Civilization from within", and CAIR's desire to replace the Constitution with Sharia----- who knew?! Yet the media continue to wring their hands and lament the ignorance and intolerance of the American people. It is amusing to watch the liberal news media's hysteria at their failure to brainwash the masses with their relativistic, multicultural, politically correct hogwash and sugar-coated apologetics for Islam and Muslims. Apparently the proposed GZM was the catalyst that nudged Americans from their torpor and provoked their visceral outrage, confirming what they already knew but were afraid to acknowledge.. Maybe America has known since 9/11 that Islam is a predatory, supremacist death cult but remained silent for fear of being labeled an 'islamophobe', 'racist', or 'bigot'.

Unlike Dr. Pipes, for whom I have the utmost respect and admiration, I do not believe there is a 'moderate' Islam. There are some moderate Muslims but they are powerless. When Hitler came to power in Germany, most Germans weren't Nazis but that did not stop the Nazis from gaining full control of the country and the people. Islam embodies fear and control, as well as total submission to Allah's demands and there are millions of Taliban butchers who will enforce the rules and execute or slaughter errant Muslims. Somebody better start working on some contingency plans to deal with the Islamic threat because I don't think the American people are interested in converting to Islam or committing civilizational suicide.. Maybe the pompous buffoons in the MSM will eventually figure out that multiculturalism and relativism are destructive, devisive concepts that most Americans despise, and their endless accusations of 'racism', 'islamophobia', and 'bigotry' are meaningless.

Now that Americans are wide awake and paying attention, Muslims might get some dirty looks and encounter some opposition to their supremacist agenda but at least they won't have to worry about maniacal mobs attacking their mosques, homes, and businesses like the savages in Pakistan and other Islamic countries do to non-Muslims regularly. Americans are sick of Muslim double standards, hypocrisy, lies, intolerance, and exploitation of our tolerant and generous nature.
