Moderate Islam?

Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism

Submitted by Dennis Dreher (United States), Sep 7, 2010 at 13:34

While I agrre with your assessment of Americans awakening to the threat of Islam I do disagree that moderate Islam it the answer. For instance the link in your article to the election of Obama cites the efforts of the CAIR campaign to repeir Islam"s image. Nowhere in that piece does CAIR the supposed moderates blame the terrorist for the backlash against Islam. Instead they blame our politicians our "white Christians" and anybody or thing except radical Islam. Correct me if I am wrong but there is a pattern here. I have never seen them renounce Islamic Jihad or the perpetrators of terrorist attacks. They always attack our reactions to these attacks, The question is why is that?
