What Difference Does It Make?

Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism

Of course, there are Moderate Muslims. I don't think that's the issue. If Al Qaida uses a Moderate Muslim as a human shield, what difference does it make that the human shield is Moderate? His moderation only makes him more politically useful to Al Qaida.

I think we have to start with a cold-hearted read on Al Qaida's war strategy. I oppose Obama's bubble-head Pollyana GZM because it sends a message to Al Qaida that their strategy to exploit innocent Muslims as human shields is foolproof. That message is a lie. If Al Qaida attacks with impunity, under the false belief that Moderate Islam won't pay the price, all the President Obamas and professional leftists in the world won't mean beans--that's just a tragic fact.

So yes, support, recognize and work with Moderate Muslims. But don't lie to them. And only those who can understand the real America, not Georgetown cocktail party twits like Imam Rauf. Moderate Islam's fate is tied to Al Qaida. And President Obama is just an illusion.
