The need for perspective

As a religious Jew, I do not celebrate Valentine's Day and for that matter, Halloween, both of which are essentially Christian holidays. As do many others, I fight my little battles against "modernity" and its attempts to trample the traditional values that guide my life. But I try to keep it all in perspective..and this is what the Muslim authorities seem to lack.
